The Council of the Township of Melancthon will continue the review of the Draft New Official Plan on Thursday, July 15th, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers – Section 4 - Land Use Polices will be reviewed at this meeting.

The Council of the Township of Melancthon at its meeting to be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 commencing at 9:00 a.m., will consider an amendment to the Procedural By-law No. 8-2009. The amendment is to Section 2 of the By-law pertaining to Council meetings. The amendment will change the regular meeting on the third Thursday of the month to start at 6:00 p.m. instead of 9:30 a.m.

Please be advised that the review of Section 4 – Land Use Polices of the Draft Official Plan, to be held Monday, May 3rd, 2010, has been postponed to a later date (date not yet known at this time) as the map schedules will not be ready in time for the meeting.

The next meeting for the continuation of the review of the Draft Official Plan will be
Monday, May 3, 2010 - 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Council will be reviewing Section 4 – Land Use Policies.

Please be advised that at the meeting to be held on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. for the continuation of the Draft Official Plan review, Council will be not be reviewing the Land Use Policies as the maps are not yet completed, so instead, Sections 5 & 6 will be reviewed at that meeting.

The Township Planner, GW Jorden, on Monday, March 29, 2010 – 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. (Sections 1, 2 and 3) and Monday, April 12, 2010 – 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. (Land Use Policies) in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office.

Please take notice that the Council of the Township of Melancthon will be reviewing the Draft New Official Plan with its Planner on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Council is welcoming comments from the Public on the Draft New Official Plan and written comments are requested by Noon on Friday, March 12, 2010 so that they can be included in the Council Agenda Package. Please note that this is the not the Statutory Public Meeting required under the Planning Act. That meeting will be determined by Council and held at a later date.
