Please be advised that Jerry Jorden, Township Planner will not be
working in the Municipal Office on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 –
his next scheduled day in the office is Wednesday, February 8, 2012.

Please be advised that the Council of the Township of Melancthon will hold a
Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the
Council Chambers to pass a By-law to finance the New John Deere Grader
through the TD Canada Trust Bank in the amount of $284,000.00.

Please be advised that the Budget Sub-Committee will hold a meeting on
Monday, January 23, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers to start
discussions on the 2012 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets.

Please be advised that Mayor Bill Hill will be at the Municipal Office on Tuesday
mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon starting on Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
If you would like to speak with Mayor Hill, please call the Municipal Office
at 519-925-5525 to book an appointment.

Please be advised that there will be a change in the
billing and due dates for municipal taxes for the year 2012:

Interim (will be billed February 1, 2012 instead of March 1, 2012)
1st Installment Due Date: February 23, 2012
2nd Installment Due Date: May 23, 2012

Final (will be billed August 1, 2012 instead of September 1, 2012)
1st Installment Due Date: August 23, 2012
2nd Installment Due Date: November 23, 2012

FOOD BOX CHALLENGE!

The Municipal Office will be closed for the Christmas Holidays from
12 Noon on Friday, December 23, 2011 until 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

The Landfill Site will be open as per normal operating hours during the holidays as follows – Friday, December 23rd - 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.,
Saturday, December 24th - 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.,
Friday, December 30th – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and
Saturday, December 31st – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Township of Melancthon’s Planning Consultant, G W (Jerry) Jorden will now be working out of the Municipal Office on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month. If you would like to speak with Mr. Jorden, you may do so by calling the office on that day or if you would like to speak to Mr. Jorden in person, you may do so by calling the office at any time during regular business hours at 519-925-5525 to book an appointment.
